Cemeteries reflect the longevity and continuity of the communities where they are located, making them important historical sites. This is especially true of Nevada City’s historic cemetery. Join Crystal Alegria, Director of The Extreme History Project,  as she explains the work her organization has done to document the Nevada City Cemetery from 2013 to 2018, from headstone assessment to ground penetrating radar. This on-going project is a labor of love, not only for the cemetery but for the descendants whose families reside in this sacred space.
